Description
this is the logo i created for a make believe ethical company, who do not make money from sweatshops.
ether was basically decided by me as the companys name as one of its defintions is; that it is dark matter, it is the stuff that space is made of, its the atmosphere and all around us.
so in a way it represents the employees as being free.
so i decided to create the name as a logo or maybe add a little squiggle like the nike logo, to be identified easily, played around with the type in quark and came up with this, almost looks like a comet falling out from space, the big e as the ball, with the rest of the text its tail.
or it looks like a flame, being blown by the wind, on a touch or something. anyway its something ive decided to stick with.
its a scan of a screen print o some handmade paer, (to show the compant's ethical stance) the erosion, where the paint wasnt applied really gives the logotype some extra character i feel

Tipically the kind of logo that would strike me if I was looking for some original clothing.
I would definitely buy stuff from this brand if I was to see this logo in a shop or something. That's eye catching, that's simple enough, the name's not too long, the paper you used is gorgeous.
Only criticism : If I were to ask my grandma to shop some "ether" stuff for me, would she be able to read the logo ?
Even I with my juvenile eyes would have a hard time reading it if printed small.
Anyway, great stuff though.
Hope this could catch the attention of some clothing brand creator one day. As long as he fits the idea of "ethical brand" you seem to care about, of course.
